All About Phil
After more than 30 years working in hospitality and more than 6 years delivering training, apprenticeships and development programmes, Phil Trevett has seen firsthand what happens when people are properly supported - and what happens when they're not.
Over the years he has:

Successfully guided 86 apprentices through to graduation

Delivered hundreds of training courses and learning experiences

Worked with hundreds of school-aged young people

Created and directed an award winning apprenticeship academy

Supported businesses with training, compliance and people development
In 2025, Phil was recognised with the Outstanding Personal Contribution accreditation at the Somerset Careers Awards/Somerset Education Business Partnership annual awards. The apprenticeship academy he created and led also received Apprenticeship Provider of the Year - Large Company (250+ employees) from University Centre Somerset.
Alongside practical experience, Phil holds Institute of Hospitality membership (MIH), Level 4 Food Safety qualifications, Level 5 ILM, an Award in Education and Training (AET) and a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA).
He's seen brilliant businesses held back by poor communication.
Managers promoted without being given the tools to lead.
Training reduced to a box-ticking exercise.
Young people underestimated.
And organisations so busy dealing with day-to-day pressures that they don't have the time to step back and ask: "Could we be doing this better?"
